How It All Started

Philomena and Agatha met by chance – both waiting in line at the same tiny tarot shop, of all places. They got to talking, realized they clicked, and a random encounter turned into a years-long friendship. Philomena fell for astrology and dreams as a teenager and never grew out of it. Agatha – twice divorced, mother of four, grandmother to a small army – brings the kind of perspective you only earn the hard way, through decades of relationships and life throwing curveballs. Astroslumber is what happens when their friendship meets a blank page.

Philomena writes, Agatha comments.

Meet Philomena

Hi, I’m Philomena — the one actually writing the articles on this site.

I’m not a certified astrologer, and I’m definitely not a psychologist. I’m just someone who fell into astrology and dream interpretation as a teenager and never really climbed back out. What started as a private notebook habit turned into, well, this.

I keep a dream journal and have been reading horoscopes since I was old enough to sneak them out of my mom’s magazines. I’m still single, still figuring out my own compatibility questions in real time – so if I write about relationships with a little humor and a little distance, it’s because I’m genuinely in the trenches with you, not lecturing from some perfect vantage point.

When I write about horoscopes and compatibility, expect something playful and a little cheeky. When I write about dreams, expect a calmer, more grounded voice – dreams can bring up genuine anxiety, and that’s not something I ever want to joke about.

Meet Agatha

Agatha doesn’t write the articles – but she can never quite resist adding her two cents. Think of her as the sharp-tongued friend leaning over your shoulder while you read, not a co-author or an expert.

Twice divorced, mother of four, grandmother to more grandkids than she can always keep straight – Agatha has lived enough plot twists to have earned her perspective the hard way. She’s warm, she’s blunt, and she says the uncomfortable thing with love, not spite. She’s seen every sign do its worst and its best, and she’s not shy about telling you which is which – though she’ll never make you feel bad for the sign you were born under.

Why Astroslumber

We started this because the internet has plenty of astrology sites that sound like they were written by no one in particular. We wanted something that felt like two real people talking to you, not a script reciting the same five phrases about what the universe has planned for you.

So that’s us: Philomena writing, Agatha commenting, and you somewhere in the middle, hopefully finding a little clarity about your stars and your dreams along the way.
